I have two problems: Expired jre (like other thread) and can't comment

I tried to post this to the news post about the Java certificate:

Up till last night, I wasn't getting any warning messages (I'm using Firefox, and had previously said Yes to the equivalent question). Now I'm getting a message that says the app has been blocked ("Your security settings have blocked an application from running with an insecure or expired jre") - the only button on it is OK, so I don't have an override option such as the one shown. I get the same result on "Show old applet". My Java plugin is up to date. How do I get to the warning message you've got?

But it wouldn't post my comment! It's asking me to log in to Facebook. I don't do Faceborg, and I won't, especially since they'd demand my official ID which I don't use with this one. When did that happen? (Also, I've never been able to get comments by email, so I suspect the "Subscribe Me" won't work for me here.)

Having read the other threads: it's the ordinary apps, not iGridd or the workshop, that I'm trying to use.

there is a new Java Runtime Environmet (JRE) version and as usual it brakes working things.
I am investigating the problem. I hope tonight I'll come back with the fix.
What is strange is message about expired signature - regular applet is not signed so it can't be expired. Please send me the screenshot if possible.

well, with the new version of Java there are new messages.
On the griddlers site there are two types of applications - regular applet for common users is not signed, it runs in sandbox and does not have access to file system or netwotk other than our site. You can ignore this warning message.

iGridd applet and workshop applets are signed with certificate mentioned in the news, it has access to file system (save puzzles locally, save workshop puzzles) and the warning message is very simillar

I am having the same problem. Yesterday I could log in and play after selecting "run" on the java error pop-up. Today, I don't even have the option to run, so I can't do puzzles. I tried updating java, but it didn't help. I appreciate any advice. Thanks.

Can't view puzzles. Trying to work on a multigriddler and I can't view anything except with the old applet. Pops up with a Security Warning about applications having an expired jre. Then it brings up java log. What's up??

New Java Code Signing Certificate

My security warning window does not look like the window described in the June 16 message. It says that the application is unsigned and may be a security risk. Does not say the signature has been verified.

I run the program to recalculate multi statistics for all users so now you have your 4th star.

Hi,
for star 4 task 3 I'm supposed to solve a MultiGriddler that has more than 30 pieces. Now I have finished elimaors "Math Class: Who's the Naughtiest Pupil?" that has 42 parts, though it is not counted for the star - Why?

OK guys, I'm going to apologize to the editors for my rather sarcastic words above. They have been really nice. Guess I was in a crabby mood and it was my very first puzzle submitting experience. I love this website!

I read somewhere that there are so many puzzles on this site that it would take someone eight (8) lifetimes to finish them all. So sometimes I think it seems rather pointless to keep creating more unless there is a shortage of a particular kind of puzzle. Is there?

Any suggestions? Comments?

Not easy, but I found it, Look at the column 12, there are values 7,2,2 and two blocks of 2. Under the second block must be white , it is either last part of 7 or it is 2.

col 12, row 17 = white.
