What are the chances?

I'm really enjoying this site and am working my way through the small colored griddlers while developing my skills. I also try to keep in the top 200 each month for number of puzzles. Today at 13-Jul-2011 19:04 GMT, I noticed the following:

57 yamyamcookie 546 22,905,887
58 Afrodytaaaa 540 806,356
59 ateirneh 540 806,356
60 Karryanna 540 806,356
61 Logan6969 540 806,356
62 ninfea81 540 806,356
63 p_a_b_l_o 540 806,356
64 sapir_19911 540 806,356
65 TarkusPL 540 806,356
66 zudlicek 540 806,356
67 Zio_Paperino 539 1,415,836
68 tragiclhip 539 1,765,264

Very unusual that all these users (positions 59-67) have solved the same number of puzzles and have the same exact scores.

That is very odd indeed. They are under the top griddler solvers for the month of July, 2011.

My only guess is that they are doing the most recent puzzles or most popular puzzles for the past few months. Maybe they haven't figured out how to use the interface to search for other puzzles.

Môj názor je, že to nie sú reálni riešitelia, ale je to práca nejakého hackera. Taká zhoda počtu vyriešených griddlers i počtu bodov je málo pravdepodobná a profily týchto "riešiteľov" neexistujú.

Hi
all the users with the same score had user_id=0 and were deleted. In fact we had some broken records in the database and the user with id 0 was shown several times.
We did cleanup these records and the score is now correct.

Ra100,

Thanks for noticing and fixing the database. All databases eventually develop "noise" that should be cleaned up. Your solving this problem was probably, I hope, an intellectual challenge similar to solving the puzzles on this site.

I used to work with large million-record databases where I could look at, but not change, the data. I had great difficulty at times getting someone to correct the "broken" data and would frequently hear "Are you sure?" after I presented the facts.

Your job is one that receives little recognition or thanks since you work behind the scenes. But it is very important and provides us users with countless hours/days/weeks/months of intellectual stimulation and enjoyment. So I really appreciate your ongoing work in maintaining Griddlers.net in all its facets. I look forward to being a subscriber for a long time (especially since it will take that long to solve all the puzzles). Thank you very much!

Now back to trying to figure out these puzzles!!

Bill

P.S. This is my first post and I am more of a "reader" than a "poster". I have no artistic ability but really enjoy the results of the authors' creations. I also enjoy the comments accompanying the puzzles - some have even helped me toward a solution or provided some laughter. My thanks and appreciation to all involved with Griddlers.net for providing this incredible and fun experience.
