Unable to launch application
Answer

I had an issue with a Java update so downloaded the latest version and now the applet will not load.

I receive a "Unable to launch the application" message. In the details is the following:

Until Java fixes the error - try the following:

Uninstall the latest version and go back to the previous one.

If it doesn't work - try what lami suggests: http://www.griddlers.net/forum/-/message_boards/message/5328577

And for the rest - DO NOT update Java for a few days. Java will fix it eventually.

Hi,
I'v tested the iGridd on latest Java 1.7 version and it works fine. But I'v changed igridd.jnlp anyway - listed 1.7 explicitly in jnlp file.
Message Security Exception could mean that there is a problem with certificate - you can review it in Java Control Panel -> Security. You can try to delete trusted certificate and restart the application. It will ask you again to trust the certificate.

Most problably we are not the only one with this problem. Here is another forum : http://www.eviware.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=13291.
They also suggest delete certificates.
There are more such links on google: com.sun.javaws.security.JNLPSignedResourcesHelper.checkSignedResourcesHelper .

Java 7 was the culprit. I uninstalled 7 and then installed 6.33 and now Webstart is working perfectly. Thanks for all of the help Hagitm and Rasto.

So I finally got igridd to work with the new java... go to start and search for java and open up the control panel, in the general tab look where it says temporary internet files and click view you will click applications under show: and choose igridd remove it, then under show again choose deleted applications and reinstall igridd, this should fix the problem, at least it did for me and I am back up and running. Good luck folks.

Thanks autbrat! My iGridd wasn't working either, but with your instructions it's running perfectly now.

I am so glad I was able to help, if you lose your shortcut, similarly after reinstalling, just right click on the application and there is an option to install shortcuts that way you don't have to open java every time to open the application.

I'm getting this error: Generic JSP is temporarily unavailable.
when I try to open iGridd in the browser.

I also get a 503 - Service Not Available  when I try to download the webstart.

Any Ideas?
