Igridd not launching
Respuesta

I am having similar problems to another member with Igridd.  I am told I need to install Java, which I have done several times from the griddler site, but I am still being told that the application cannot be started and I need to reinstall Java.  This is very frustrating as the Java version I have down loaded is the latest one.

Please help.

Thank you

Hi

I have Windows 7 and using google chrome, which did not cause a problem before.  But I did wonder if this was a problem so I used IE 9 which made no difference at all.

Go to Control Panel and select Programs and Features.
Delete everything about Java. You may have 3 different items.
Then - go to Java's website and install the latest version Java fit for Windows 7.
It should fix the problem.

I have tried the same several times, uninstalling, and reinstalling Java 7 update 5. I even installed 32 and 64 bit versions as suggested by the java download site, and tried rebooting my system.

I am also on Windows 7.

By the way, the java applet in my web page also fails on both Chrome and IE9.

The error is complaining about permission denied:

Have the problems started after updating Java?
If yes, uninstall the latest version and go back to the previous one. That's our best suggestion so far.

I've had the same problem; uninstalled all Java-related programs, reverted back to Java 6 and everything is now working fine.
