New Guidelines for creating Puzzles

Many users like to create puzzles. However, not all submitted puzzles qualify to get published. In order to help authors, especially new ones, we re-created the Guidelines.

The Guidelines has three main topics:

Content and Quality
Basic rules, delivered through pictures of good (accepted) and not good (rejected) puzzles.

Technical Issues
Collection of common mistakes, with puzzles samples to see the effect on the puzzles, and directions to correct those mistakes.

MultiGriddlers
Guidance in specific issues related to multis, tips and techniques for making them better.

Enjoy!

I've got a little request,
If you reject a puzzle could you return it to it's creater,
for maybe he could improve it?
(even better would be, giving it back with comment,
but that would be asking a bit too much,
knowing that you would have to do that with 100 puzzles a day
and maybe much more)
Nevertheless, could you do that please,
its only changing a buttons function I think,
It wouldn't take that much time

greatzzz,
Jan

Hi Jan,

What you want is already possible: Just save the puzzle before you send it to the publisher. That way you can go back to your saved puzzle, if it has been rejected. You can save only one puzzle at a time, unless you are subscribed to iGridd. With the iGridd workshop you can save your puzzle locally and so can keep different versions of it. I've been told this feature will be available to all users in the future.
