This technique is actually called silhouette, whereas shadow is the image of the real object on a surface caused by light from the other side. Semantics, great job regardless

Nice puzzle...proved to be a diverting challenge...although the beak makes it look a little more like the turkey buzzard from the looney toons cartoons than a swan. But it's still better than I could have come up with. Good show!
