I think that octagonal is probably thet wrong word to use for it. Octohedral would be better, but even that's probably wrong. Not bad except for the missing brown triangle at the bottom point. (Compare with the upper left point.)

You can see seven of the eight endings, the last is to the back. It's two tetraeder stuck into each other. You have to think in three dimensions.
