Sporadic issues with new applet

I am having the exact same problems, so I am guessing others are having this problem as well. The new applet worked fine for me earlier today, but now all I am getting is the never-ending "loading". Hmmm....

Thanks--I'm feeling less incompetent now that you've confirmed I'm not alone.

I should add that I too cleaned out temporary Java files, hoping that might help.

 

Having the same problem.  Not only do the puzzles not load but it will stop saving the puzzles as well.  It will not even recognize when you have completed the puzzle.  This happens to me around 10pm EST. 

I am having same problem and don't understand why it is always at the same time every evening.  Just when I get home and want to relax and do a puzzle, then I cannot load anything.   A couple hours later when it is time for bed, then it starts working.   It is really making me rethink if I want to renew my subscription.   I would expect some sort of comment from tech team, but see nothing.

Interesting....I've been having issues on and off but never really looked at the time until I started reading this thread.  It is now 10pm EST and my applet is just starting to give me issues.  Have been running perfectly for the past 3 hours and now it's stuck.  The tech guys here are the best so maybe they can see what might be going on every night at ths time.  

My issue lasted almost an hour but now everything seem to be working fine.....weird...

Same problem here at 1:23 am GMT. I finished a puzzle using webstrart/iGridd and got this message:
Send score failded. Retry?

Retried it a few times, got the same message again. I'll leave it open untill tomorrow to save my finished puzzle.

OK - it's that time again and I am happy to report that my applet is working perfectly!!!!!!!  So HAPPY

There are problems again. I'll provide as much info as I have:

I was doing Griddler ID #110929; a part of a multi-griddler called Yawning Shark.
I hit 'Save' to make an intermediate save at 1:24 GMT.
The applet froze for 4 minutes after which it did make the save at 1:28 am.
As a test I immediately hit the 'Save' again.
This time it froze for 8 minutes until it executed the save at 1:36 am.

The Java Console logged these exceptions:

I've been working griddlers almost all day with no issues.  I just tried to save a puzzle, got the fail to save 3 times - clicked retry each time and the puzzle is frozen.  Been that way for almost 10 minutes.  I know that if I wait it will eventually unlock and be fine.  Not complaining - just reporting in...

yeah I had a section of a puzzle not save too....anyway all is working fine again...

Me too Dominek...been working puzzles almost all day and not one problem!!  Didn't even realize the problem time had come and gone!!!

I am also having problems with the applet not loading again. Like kmlake42, I am typically online beginning around 8:30PM central time. It's 9:07 now, and I still cannot load the applet. This has happened the last few nights.

I have been waiting two hours for a puzzle to save.  Guess I will lose all my work.  The tech teams needs to solve this problem  quickly.   This is getting really old.

I saved a puzzle at about 2am GMT and it took between 1 and 3 minutes before it was actually saved. Sorry I can't be more precise, I wasn't actually paying attention to the hour. Two subsequent saves were immediate. But now (2:43am GMT) when I finished the puzzle it is still trying to register so since about four minutes.
I got the score failed dialog box at 2:46am, hit the retry and am waiting again....(while waiting I discovered that one can make funny drawings on the screen with the frozen applet ) Got an,other score failed dialog at 2:49; retry; wait;...

Got another Send score failed dialog box at 2:54am GMT BUT the puzzle shows as registered on the Details Tab in iGridd. I'm going to risk it and click 'No'. Hmmm, more waiting....

Unfrozen at 3:09am and luckily the puzzle is indeed registered. Phew.
