iGridd Applet - Suggestion Box

iGridd treat: Save multiple puzzles in ONE go

It became a tradition to give to our iGridd users a special treat for the holidays. We believe that this year it's one of the most desired wish for the offline solving mode: being able to download many puzzles in one click instead of downloading them one-by-one.

How to do it?
Open iGridd applet or Webstart.
(*) Select a list, say: Singles, New Puzzles.
(*) Browse through the list and click on a row (select a puzzle).
(*) Use the shortcut keys to multiple selections:
Shift+Left-click to select a group of rows (from… to…)
Ctrl+Left-click to select one row at a time and keep them selected as a group.

Now that you have the list of puzzles you want to solve offline, click on the "Download" button at the top of the screen:

(*) Close the applet and open Webstart in Offline mode.
We recommend to use the "Reset" button, to clear the list of puzzles.

Which puzzles are downloadable as groups?
You can download Single Griddlers, MultiGriddlers, and Triddlers.
MultiGriddlers are downloadable in one click. Go to the List panel, select a row of a MultiGriddler, and click on the "Download" button. All the parts of the multi will be saved on your computer to solve offline.

Important note:
The new feature is a beta version. It was tested on only a few computers. We'd be happy to know that everything works well, but if you experience problems please let us know about it via this forum. Try to be specific and tell us exactly what happened and what you did.

I tried the new version and it worked fine, I then shut it down.

Now every time I try to launch the Applet I get:
'Unable to launch the Application'
java.io.FileNotFoundException: C:\Users\MymsMan\AppData\LocalLow\Sun\Java\Deployment\cache\6.0\1\2b577681-26c542f0 (The system cannot find the file specified)

Problem now solved:
Just in case anyone else encounters the problem

I had pinned the Icon to the Start menu, when I used the desktop icon it worked.
So what I needed to do was Unpin the old Icon and then Pin the new version.

go to ControlPanel -> Java , find temporary internet files and delete them.
Then run the application again from http://igridd.com/igridd.jnlp .

There is a new version now. If you still can't see the button, uninstall and reinstall the applet, to make sure you use the new version.
