JAVA v8 171 with SAFARI
Answer

I've loaded last version of Java   version 8 update 171.
My OS is  MAC OS X 10.7.5   and i use SAFARI  6.1.6

Since when i choose a grid on the liste , the page openend (example https://www.griddlers.net/fr_FR/griddlers/-/griddlers/189123)   with a indow withe the console Java as usual.
But when i click the button  "Resoudre".  The consol Java closed without message and the page of th grid become blank.

I added griddlers URL as authaurized sites in security parameters but that 's not fixed the problem.
Have some suggestion to keep on using applet Java. Thanks
Dan

I've been having problems with Griddlers crashing since I loaded the most recent java update yesterday.  It does the whole load process up to when it opens the program and then crashes with an error that says "iGridd quit unexpectedly while using the libawt_lwawt.dylib plug-in.".

Hi,
I installed this update with "Restore security prompts" option.
After two Safari restarts it started to work.

Btw, try to open this app in Java  http://igridd.com/igridd.jnlp .
It is for subscribers but new griddlers, triddlers and maybe G-match are open for regular users.

hi
Thanks for our answers

I tried the application igriid .  It opened right but when i clicked on direct access to a grid , it closed and i received  the following messge
iGridd a quitté de manière imprévue lors de l’utilisation du module libawt_lwawt.dylib.
Perhaps, the reason is  that i am a user and not a subscriber.

I also tried to reloaded last update oj Java   with "restart safety message"  but nothing changed

Hi
this error message
iGridd a quitté de manière imprévue lors de l’utilisation du module libawt_lwawt.dylib
has nothing to do with subscrition. It is definitelly technical Java problem.
What about to try Java 10 ? You can download it here http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jre10-downloads-4417026.html .
There is not very nice message about Java deprecation. It means in a year or two there will be no Java in browser anymore and also webstart must be repackeged to something else.

I updated my operating system to El Capitan and Java version 10 and Griddlers worked for one day.  Now when I try to launch, it opens TextEdit and exhibits this:

Hiit is about file association. Once the igridd.jnlp is downloaded it should be open from Finder not from browser. Right click on the file, choose Open with .. and select Java web start app. There is also option Remember this association.Rasto

I think I got it figured out.  I had to copy Java Web Start from the coreservices file to the applications file.

Great :-) . I gues the El Capitan could be problem. I am already on High Sierra and it installs Java to right folders.
